Queries about payments

Manage your ALPHERA payments

In this section, you’ll find information on the easy way to manage your motor finance payments.

How much will it cost me to pay off my agreement early?

Early settlement will depend on a number of factors surrounding your agreement, the valuation of the vehicle, its condition and your original terms.

To request an early settlement quote, please complete the online form or call us on 0370 5050 125.

You’ll need your finance agreement number and vehicle registration when you contact us.

My vehicle has been written off or stolen. Should I stop my payments?

If your car or motorcycle has been written off or stolen, please notify us on 0370 5050 125 with the relevant insurance claim number or crime number as soon as possible.

Although the vehicle may no longer be in your possession, you must continue to make your payments until the matter has been settled with your insurance company.

If you choose not to maintain your monthly payments, this could have an adverse effect on your credit rating and may impact your ability to obtain credit in the future. Interest may be charged on any amounts unpaid.

What do I do if the insurance pay-out does not cover the outstanding finance?

If the amount paid out by your insurance company isn’t sufficient to cover the outstanding balance on your agreement, you’ll need to pay the difference.

If, however, you have ALPHERA Shortfall Insurance and have paid all of the premiums, this will pay the difference up to the level of cover you have chosen.

Can I take a payment holiday?

Unfortunately, we can’t operate a payment holiday policy. If you’re having difficulties, please contact ALPHERA on 0370 5050 125.

What should I do if I can’t meet my monthly payments?

If you’re having difficulties in making your monthly payments, please contact us on 0370 5050 125. We’ll be happy to discuss your individual circumstances and the options available to you.

I’ve missed a payment; what should I do?

If you make your payments by Direct Debit, please contact your bank in the first instance to find out why the payment has not gone out or been returned.

It’s important to keep ALPHERA Financial Services up to date with the situation; please contact us on 0370 5050 125 as soon as possible to discuss how to bring your account up to date.
